The Convention’s Gallery is…a Gallery, Duh.
With a short story for each photo. Kinda. 🤔

Quick FAQ 🤔
I thought this site was for READING!
It is. What else is this FAQ and the in between short stories for? 🤔
Why Instagram? 🤔
Because photos posted on Facebook usually go to shite, thanks to…we blame Harvard for this one.
Why do Photography? 🤔
Well, as someone who did Journalism in college, we figured learning how to use the camera would help in this practice.
To some degree, the stuff we learnt from taking cosplay photos, helped shape some of the skills we’d use for taking the photos seen in our stories. 🤔
Examples,
- Zooming makes photos look shite tier,
- Because they get blurrier, since Lens limits.
- Also, should probably upgrade the Lens. 🤔
- Use Manual for moving shots,
- Otherwise, you’d just have Ghost flickers in pics.
- Adjust between Auto & Manual for specific situations,
- One can outclass the other, depending on the case.
- For Fs sake, where did we put the damn Camera Cover?!
- Don’t lose your stuff. >:
- The Camera Scope & Screen for checking shots is bloody useful.
- Both are great to use. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
More on this in a future Photography story. 📷
What about pics not seen here or there?
I will admit that, you won’t be seeing every cosplay shot we’ve taken at events here, just some pics with a short story.
To sum it up as, requests from certain cosplayers to not post and tag publicly, we figured it’s wiser to leave this be.
It’s more important to us, that the photos taken from an event, manage to be returned to the coser than anything else.
What the cosplayer choose to do with those pics is up to them really, it’s not our business or obligation to post and tag without permission.
Our personal stance on cosplays? Well we’d be lying if we said we’re saints, and pretend we don’t like certain cosplays. (Yall can fill in the blanks.)
But, we do have a soft spot for certain series you kind of not expect to find in Malaysia, but then be surprised when you actually find them. :0
That’s about it really.
Also we’re a shite tier Photographer, do remember that. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
2018
Before we start, looking back at a lot of these photos, it makes us want to yeet a brick at the wall at how F-ing shtie quality a lot of these photos are. D;
HOW THE HELL DID WE GREENLIGHT ALL THIS?! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Also, before Yall Start, put on some Music.
We can recommend, the following,

When you have a sibling who drags you into watching TV shows that make you question your manhood, it helps build an idea about what series is a certain Character from.
That’s why it’s surprising to encounter someone doing a character from Winx Club, because you’d think that because the series wasn’t Mainstream anymore, no one would do it, especially in 2018.
Granted, we were wrong.
That said, it is a very cool discovery, that continues.
We really really like the Megaman X series.
To the point that, we made an oath to hunt down this X cosplayer across Comic Fiesta 2018, no matter F-ing what, even though we were working.
GREAT WORKER INTEGRITY HERE.
Even the post event took us awhile to track down the cosplayer’s name.
Still the most raddest thing to find at that year’s Comic Fiesta. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
We honestly did not know who Mr Leon Chiro was.
…seriously, other than him cosplaying as Jojo, we knew nothing about the man’s prestige.
Which was surprising when he gladly allowed a quick photo.
He was accompanied by his lady handler at the time, so we quickly took the shot and let him be on his way, since it did look like he was rushing for something.
…yall can start throwing bricks at the screen now. 🧱
We’ve still yet to fix that wrong tag, but maybe later.
Anyways, sometimes the photos you get of people in the field would serve as a bit of foreshadowing, of greatness that awaits the country’s future WCS representative.
Like holy crap, less than a few months later we’d see him on TV.
I still want to get a commission from him too, just that well…
*looks at Children’s Card Games*
Also those Red Lights, how do they work?!
Holy shite a Heavy.
Who we would later know as a regular who attends events for videography stuff, while suiting up as the classic Heavy Weapons Guy from Team Fortress 2.
Only, with a Festive Minigun. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
And by god we F-ing love this series.
It’s been at least a few years since the Deadpool movie came out, and them swords are made for slicing, dicing, and…of course.
Posing, the strongest -ing of them all. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
And one of the first few pics we wanted to make was a 2-pic animation which is, as…weird as that description sounds. 🤔
Oh right, the guy who did this Deadpool is a cool dood.
It’s kind of cool to see youths running around the event, especially a group with a rather unorthodox ratio of genders like this 4-person group.
A mix of the Marvel/DC’s western stuff, with hints of an anime from the early 2010s, sprinkled with meme spices.
It makes for a pretty good combination.
Also, memes are the currency we deal in, even if it includes stuff we still don’t get.
Yeah, we still don’t get this Deutsche Bahn thing.
I mean, surely this wasn’t the las-…oh right this one.
Well…at the time, this Dusty wasn’t wrong.
2018 did stopped feeling good at the time. D;
Some of the folks you’d run in the field might wind up being people you’ve met before.
But severely forgot.
Until they remind you that they play Children’s Card Games too, then it all comes back.
Jokes aside, Naruto Cosplayers.
2018.
If only the Area 51 raid came earlier. 🤔
Touken Ranbu was another series that we were sort of familiar with, thanks to a certain crossover product with a Children’s Card Game. 🤔
What’s interesting about this encounter, was the whole idea of encountering a cross dressing cosplayer, but on the other end of the gender spectrum.
Since prior to Star Supa Comic, we knew a handful of guys who do the crossdress thing, so to encounter one from the other gender was rather…neat, I guess.
It did help shape a balanced perspective of, crossdressing is not something just one gender does.
Military cosplays aren’t strangers to me, since we do notice them quite often at events.
But it takes a special kind of PUBG tier pan man to get our attention.
Honestly speaking, if someone does a Team Fortress 2 X PUBG pan fight crossover, we’d be down to photograph that. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
Fate is…a very weird series. ._.
While we’re familiar with the surface level main characters like Saber, the Alter versions of these Characters are what get us confused as heck.
…it doesn’t help that they add on all the festive themed costumes for future cosplay plans in certain people’s to-do list.
But that said, rarely would you see a cosplayer do ALL THE VERSIONS of said character, since it just seems natural for folks to jump around multiple characters. 🤔
Not for some folks we’ve met in the field though.
This was one of the few photos you’d take, if you knew your sibling happens to like that series a lot.
Since well, as an older sibling that tendency to notice what your other siblings like happens naturally.
Black Butler was one of those series, and it helps that this pair happened to be doing a cosplay pair at the time. :0
Huh, if memory serves, I recall the Sebastian coser used the Ciel coser’s back to write their names for later, which led to the following rough conversation between the two,
“Hey, you think this would happen in the show?”
“Ciel would probably punch Sebastian before that.”
Love Live had been a pretty consistent series that exists across Malaysia over the years, so to see cosplayers still doing characters from that series is pretty neat.
It helps/doesn’t help that any new costume that exists for the series just adds one more costume on someone’s to buy/resell later list. 🤔
That aside, the Arabian dancer costume is yes, we know, kind of revealing.
But surprisingly tame, compared to many other costumes you’d find in the field.
Yet, not as ridiculous as a swimsuit at an event, since that’s some absurd levels of extreme that doesn’t pay off.
Also, it’s elegant as F with the right shots, not the ones we took of course.
The Flash is fast.
And coincidental enough to encounter outside the toilet.
That aside, what can be easily mistaken as The Flash from the TV show, is actually The Flash from the Justice League movie.
Something that took us until a JOM to notice. D:
Free Hugs are neat.
…there we said it, what else is there to say? 🤔
All that aside, it helps that the Character’s from a series about Princes, which helps some folks live out their 5-second fantasy of hugging their prince-sama.
Honest to god, we genuinely thought that was Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club.
Until the cosplayer explained a bit about the character and the series she’s from, which helps give an idea about what they’re about.
This is one of the coolest things to learn from cosplayers, their personal explanations about the characters or series they’re cosplaying as or from.
After all, we kind of don’t do our anime homework. D;
But the endless school of characters from anything, never ends, which is why well…we really don’t mind listening to people gush about the series their cosplay is from.
Always say, you would like to know more. (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
Man F the Warhammer 40k Chaos folks if they ain’t got suits like this.
Slight diss aside, holy crap this stuff looks really cool, to the point that yes, till this day we still see it as an armor from Warhammer 40k.
Even if Monster Hunter is the canon universe for this awesome suit. D;
Even in 2018, we lived in a society. 🤔
Such that honestly speaking, I’d pay to see a crossover with that movie poster behind.
Would make for an interesting dynamic, between Pikachu teaming up with the Joker.
…huh, maybe they could become W, if Pikachu learns how to Cyclone.
JOKA.
MAXIMUM DRIVE.
One of the coolest encounters I’ve had before, was with this one cosplayer who…okay basically, the story goes like this.
I was returning the photos as per usual, and at one point, I said thank you, but in Chinese.
To which that coser responded with, translated from Chinese, “You know Chinese?”
And that’s where I had to awkwardly sit back, stare at the screen, question if I was in Middle School/College again, and answer yes.
But that coser is pretty cool by the way, since that one person across 2019 managed to solo cosplay as all 4 members of that KDA group from League.
I don’t follow League at all, but it’s kind of crazy cool to see one person that dedicated to at least cosplaying all members of that group.
Compared to the still unconfirmed 3 of Half-Life, this was around the time near the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 if I recall.
And one of the 1st few group based shots we managed to put together too.
Little did we realize, one of them would be involved in a future pic that involves a Kermit.
…I still can’t believe that’s the same person. o.o
